DEBI JACKSON

Deborah Bolling Jackson was born in Harlem, raised and educated in New York City, and for over 30 years was known as Debi B where her voice was heard on 107.5 WBLS co-hosting the Sunday Classics beside her legendary husband, Hal Jackson. One of Ms. Jackson’s passions is photography, which led her to become the first person to annually host a one-woman photographic exhibition at the Adam Clayton Powell, Jr. State Office Building in Harlem 3 years in a row. Photos by Debi Jackson have been showcased twice at the Harlem Havana photographic exhibition in the Mural Pavillion of Harlem Hospital and have also been on exhibition at the Sandy Bennett Art Gallery in the Bergen Performing Arts Center (Bergen PAC) in New Jersey. Photos By Debi Jackson will transport you to Thailand, France, Italy, the Caribbean, England, and of course her birthplace, New York City. You will be inspired to travel as she takes you to Havana and you feel the effervescent essence of Cuba through her camera’s lens. Debi states that “Every moment in life is present. My photography captures life’s moments so they can exist for eternity. I am passionate about people and nature, constantly trying to put my vision together in a photograph exhibiting purity and symmetry. I have been blessed with the opportunity to travel extensively and meet celebrities. My inspirations and learnings come from world-renowned photographers and I am blessed to have been in the right place at the right time.” All proceeds from the sale of Photos By Debi Jackson are donated to the Youth Development Foundation, Inc. (YDF) of which Ms. Jackson is President & CEO. YDF has been in existence for over 50 years and has awarded over $2,500,000 in scholarships and prizes to young women from around the world for over 50 years.
